Why FUTR?

The thesis

All dollar amounts are in Canadian dollars unless otherwise indicated. Financial information is as of Q2 2026.

01

Data is an asset class.

Google and Meta have built multi-trillion dollar businesses on the back of monetizing consumer data. Despite being a fundamental input to these business models, consumers receive no direct payment for their contributed personal data. We believe consumers will begin to share in the monetization of their personal data.

02

Explicit-consented data is the differentiator.

Explicit-consented data is worth more than scraped data because it is specific. Instead of inferring interest from browsing behaviour, it holds the details of a real contract: the carrier, the premium, the renewal date. FUTR built a platform that incentivizes users to upload explicit-consented data and uses it to drive Agent-driven lead generation, saving users time and money.

03

Live payments and lead generation revenue.

FUTR is not pre-revenue. Of $1,886,446 CAD in total Q2 2026 revenue, $1.59M CAD came from optimizing interest payments for consumers. Agent-driven lead generation contributed $294,276 CAD in its first commercial month.

How FUTR compares.

Reference · not a valuation opinion

FUTR’s model draws on elements of three well-known fintech businesses. For each, here is what the company does and where FUTR’s model overlaps. All three are far larger and more established than FUTR. Valuations are shown as dated reference facts only — they are not a view on what FUTR’s shares should be worth, and private-company figures are funding-round valuations, not market prices. All figures in this section are in U.S. dollars.

Bilt

Private
~$10.75BFunding round, Jul 2025

What they do

  • A loyalty and payments network built around housing. Members earn points on rent and, through lender partners, mortgage payments.
  • Co-branded credit cards and airline and hotel transfer partners give those points everyday value, with other financial products layered on top.

Where FUTR’s model overlaps

  • FUTR is also anchored on a large recurring household payment: the auto loan payment, handled through FUTR Payments across approximately 180 active U.S. dealers.
  • In September 2026 FUTR added mortgage payments to the Agent App, with mortgage brokers as a distribution channel.
  • Like Bilt, FUTR uses the payment relationship as the entry point to a broader set of consumer financial products.

SoFi

NASDAQ:SOFI
$22.05BMarket cap, Sep 15, 2026

What they do

  • A member-based digital financial services company: personal, student and home loans, deposit accounts, investing and credit cards in one app. 15.8 million members at the end of Q2 2026.
  • Also originates loans for third parties through its Loan Platform Business, and provides technology infrastructure to other financial institutions.

Where FUTR’s model overlaps

  • In June 2026 FUTR acquired a North American financial planning platform that has produced nearly 1.0 million consumer plans since 2016. FUTR intends to use it to extend consumer relationships from auto loans into insurance, mortgage and investment products.
  • Like SoFi’s referral model, FUTR earns fees for matching consumers with third-party financial products. Agent-driven lead generation contributed $294,276 CAD in its first commercial month (Q2 2026).

Ramp

Private
~$44BFunding round, Jun 2026

What they do

  • Corporate cards and spend management for businesses, expanded into bill pay, procurement, travel and accounting.
  • AI agents act on the company’s behalf: enforcing expense policy, flagging suspected fraud and suggesting policy changes, with a minority of cases escalated for human review.

Where FUTR’s model overlaps

  • The FUTR Agent App applies the same idea — software that acts on your behalf — to household finances: scheduling weekly or bi-weekly loan and mortgage payments that reduce interest, and storing and managing the user’s personal information.
  • In both cases the agent is only as useful as the financial data it can see. FUTR’s model is built on consumers explicitly consenting to share and monetize their own data.
